## Summary

**Directs a special resource study of the Scipio A. Jones House in Little Rock to assess its national significance and preservation options.** This bill would define the study area as the Scipio A. Jones House and require the Secretary of the Interior to evaluate whether it merits designation as a National Historic Landmark, an Affiliated Area of the National Park System, or inclusion in the Little Rock Central High School National Historic Site. The Secretary would also consider other preservation and interpretation alternatives by federal, state, tribal, local, nonprofit, or private entities, consult interested parties, and identify cost estimates for any federal development, interpretation, operation, and maintenance. The study must follow section 100507 of title 54, United States Code, but may not consider options that involve federal acquisition of land or other property. A report with conclusions and recommendations would be submitted to the relevant congressional committees within three years after funds are first made available to carry out the study.
