## Summary

**This bill would block federal funding for racial equity work at the State Department.** It would bar federal funds for the Special Representative for Racial Equity and Justice's salary and expenses and for activities to implement the State Department's Equity Action Plan. - State Department equity leaders and staff would lose federal support for the Special Representative's salary and related expenses, removing funding for that leadership role. - Programs, contractors, and foreign partners slated to carry out the Equity Action Plan would no longer receive federal funds to implement the plan, pausing actions and metrics aimed at addressing equity and discrimination abroad.
