## Summary

**Grants for immigration legal services for noncitizen veterans.** This bill would create a new VA grant program to pay public or nonprofit legal providers to help noncitizen veterans facing removal, seeking naturalization, applying for parole, pursuing reentry, or upgrading discharges that block immigration relief. - Families and noncitizen veterans: Would fund legal help for veterans who are in removal proceedings, at risk of removal, or who have been removed. Services specifically listed include defense in removal, naturalization including military service routes, parole (including parole in place and humanitarian parole), reentry or repatriation help, and discharge upgrade assistance. - Legal service providers and communities: Public and nonprofit entities with demonstrated capacity and financial support could apply for grants. The VA must consider rural communities, trust lands, and territories and promote access through virtual services. - VA oversight and reporting: The VA Secretary would set grant criteria after consulting experienced organizations and must report to the relevant Congressional committees at least every two years on who was helped and on operational and cost-effectiveness. *Would authorize $20.0 million in appropriations for fiscal years 2027 through 2030.*
