**Authorize a Congressional Gold Medal honoring the Freedom Riders and their role in advancing equal interstate travel.** The bill would direct the Speaker and the President pro tempore to arrange a presentation, require the Secretary of the Treasury to determine the medal's design and strike it, give the gold medal to the Smithsonian Institution for display and research with a sense that it be made available at sites linked to the Freedom Riders, allow the Secretary to strike and sell bronze duplicates at prices that cover production, classify the medals as national numismatic items, and permit the United States Mint to charge its Public Enterprise Fund for production costs while depositing duplicate sales proceeds back into that fund.
