## Summary

**Restores black lung benefits and locks them to inflation so miners' payments stop losing buying power.** This bill would set the monthly benefit at $1,252.50 for 2026, establish a $15,030 annual base for 2027, and thereafter increase the annual rate using the Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers (CPI-W) so monthly payments reflect inflation.
