## Summary

**Expands and reauthorizes the Earth Mapping Resources Initiative to add modern sensing data, new funding, and domestic contracting rules.** This bill would broaden the types of data Earth MRI uses and extend program support through 2031 to improve mapping of subsurface resources like critical minerals, geothermal resources, and geologic hydrogen. - Researchers and resource planners would gain richer mapping inputs.
