## Summary

**Creates Department of Defense test and training corridors for small drones and counter-drone systems.** This bill would direct the Secretary of Defense to establish or designate one or more corridors in the national airspace for testing small unmanned aircraft systems, counter-unmanned aircraft system platforms, and related capabilities. It sets six functional goals, including research on autonomy and payloads, testing directed energy and electronic warfare, counter-UAS ammunition and drone-versus-drone tactics, faster fielding of drone munitions, and standardizing payload-to-platform interfaces. - Gives the Department of Defense authority to use or build facilities and operate corridors for research, development, testing, and evaluation of sUAS, counter-sUAS systems, sensors, communications, and navigation. It requires coordination with the Test Resource Management Center and military department secretaries when choosing sites. - Aims to speed industry and military adoption by accelerating modular payload integration, reducing time-to-field for lethal and non-lethal drone-enabled munitions, and promoting standard payload interfaces across platforms. - Directs site selection to consider realistic degraded or denied communications and spectrum conditions and to identify legal and regulatory impediments to testing. The Secretary must notify congressional defense committees within 90 days after establishing a corridor with location, resource needs, and any interagency agreements.
