## Summary

**Designating April 10 as Dolores Huerta Day** would honor Dolores Huerta's work advancing farmworker rights, civil rights, and women's political power. She cofounded the Stockton chapter of the Community Services Organization in 1955 and, with Cesar Chavez, founded the National Farm Workers Association in 1962. She led the Delano grape strike in 1965 and national boycotts that produced a union contract by 1970 and helped win the 1975 California Agricultural Labor Relations Act. She coined “Si Se Puede”, founded the Dolores Huerta Foundation in 2003, and received the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2012.
