## Summary

**Supports the goals and ideals of Korean American Day and honors the 122nd anniversary of the arrival of the first Korean immigrants to the United States.** It urges all Americans to observe the day to appreciate the contributions of Korean Americans. The resolution notes that on January 13, 1903, 102 Korean immigrants arrived as the first large wave and that those pioneers faced major social and economic barriers while working as farmworkers, wage laborers, and section hands. It recognizes Korean Americans' contributions to business, public life, the military, the arts, and to strengthening ties with the Republic of Korea.
