## Summary

**This resolution would affirm support for equal rights for LGBTQI+ people and would** **designate June 26 as LGBTQI+ Equality Day** to mark three landmark Supreme Court decisions. It cites Lawrence v. Texas (2003), United States v. Windsor (2013), and Obergefell v. Hodges (2015), acknowledges that transgender people and LGBTQI+ people of color continue to face disproportionate violence, discrimination, poverty, and isolation, and would encourage public celebration of the date and further statutory reforms to address discrimination in employment, housing, education, federal funding, credit, and jury service.
