## Summary

**Remember and honor the victims, survivors, and responders of the July 4, 2022 Highland Park Independence Day Parade shooting.** The resolution would memorialize the seven people killed—Katie Goldstein (64), Irina McCarthy (35), Kevin McCarthy (37), Stephen Strauss (88), Jacquelyn Sundheim (63), Nicolas Toledo-Zaragoza (78), and Eduardo Uvaldo (69)—and note that more than 40 people were wounded, including children who suffered life-changing injuries. It would thank the many local, state, and federal law enforcement and fire agencies and hospitals that responded, acknowledge volunteer counselors who supported the community, and note that the person responsible received a life sentence.
