## Summary

**This bill would create a Department of Defense Baltic Security Initiative to deepen security cooperation with Baltic militaries and deter Russian aggression.** It would focus on long-range fires, integrated air and missile defense, maritime awareness, and cyber and hybrid resilience. - Baltic militaries. Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania would get targeted DoD support for planning, equipment, cyber defenses, and readiness, including long-range precision fires and stockpiling large-caliber ammunition. - NATO deterrence and regional ties. The Initiative would strengthen deterrence on NATO’s eastern flank and improve coordination with Poland and other allies to deny opportunities for aggression. - Funding and oversight. The bill would authorize $350 million per year for fiscal years 2026, 2027, and 2028 to carry out the Initiative and would require the Secretary of Defense to submit a strategy report within one year. *If fully funded, the bill would authorize about $1.1 billion in defense funding for FY2026–2028 and increase federal outlays.*
