## Summary

**Blocks members of the Chinese Communist Party and their close relatives from obtaining F (academic student) or J (exchange visitor) visas.** This bill would bar any CCP member who has served in a party position after enactment and their spouse, child, parent, sibling, grandchild, niece, or nephew from receiving F or J nonimmigrant status. Admissions needed to meet U.S. obligations under the United Nations Headquarters Agreement and other international obligations are excepted, and the President could waive the ban by certifying in writing that a waiver serves U.S. national security.
