## Summary

**Creates interoperable, near-real-time overdose data collection across jurisdictions.** The bill adds an overdose data collection program to the Comprehensive Opioid Abuse Grant Program to fund web and mobile tools that track suspected fatal and nonfatal overdoses and opioid overdose reversal medication administration. - States, local governments, tribes, and law enforcement coalitions can receive grants to develop or adopt web- and mobile-friendly tools that map overdoses and reversal medication use. - First responders (law enforcement officers, firefighters, and emergency medical service technicians) will have overdose reversal administrations recorded so locations and administrations can be shared near real-time across jurisdictions. - Grant applications must include an audit to avoid duplicating existing systems, ensure interoperability with federal, state, local, and tribal tools, and show consultation with the Attorney General and the Director of the Office of National Drug Control Policy.
