## Summary

**Rental vouchers for high-growth, high-population areas.** This bill would create a new annual program to provide extra tenant-based rental assistance to public housing agencies that serve areas with more than 100,000 people and are among the 25 fastest-growing areas from 2012 to 2022. - Families and renters in targeted fast-growth places could get more help paying rent through additional tenant-based vouchers. - Public housing agencies that meet the area criteria could receive extra vouchers allocated by a formula that weighs area population, unmet affordability needs, and historical shortfalls from population growth. - The assistance would be distributed each year based on population served, local voucher shortfalls relative to housing affordability, and past under-allocation tied to population growth. *Authorizes $2.0 billion for fiscal year 2025 to start the program, with funds available for renewals thereafter until expended.*
