## Summary

**Provides federal transportation grants and planning help for U.S. host cities of major international sporting events.** This bill would set who can get money, how funds are allocated, and require Commerce to study travel impacts of the 2026 World Cup and 2028 Olympics. - Cities, metropolitan planning organizations, States, Tribes, and local governments could receive grants to fund non‑temporary transportation projects within 100 miles of a covered event. Initial allocations limit a host metropolitan planning organization to $10.0 million for a single covered event, and grant eligibility runs from five years before the event to 30 days after it ends. - Transit agencies, port authorities, and other providers could get federal planning help and technical assistance. The Secretary of Transportation could support intermodal planning, temporary pooling and sharing of buses and expedited reviews to help move people and goods for the event. - The Department of Commerce must study and report on travel and tourism effects of the 2026 World Cup and the 2028 Olympics, with reports due within 180 days after each event and posted publicly. *Would authorize up to $50.0 million per fiscal year for grants and planning assistance under this program.*
