## Summary

**Prohibits oil, gas, and other mineral leasing in Arctic areas of the Outer Continental Shelf.** The bill would add subsection (q) to Section 8 of the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act and bar the Secretary of the Interior from issuing or extending any lease or other authorization for exploration, development, or production in Arctic areas as defined in the Arctic Research and Policy Act, overriding conflicting laws.
