## Summary

**Blocks new purchases of U.S. real estate by Chinese nationals and PRC-linked entities.** This bill would prohibit citizens of the People’s Republic of China, covered foreign entities, and foreign persons acting for the Chinese Communist Party from buying public or private real estate in the United States. It would also let the President require sale of existing holdings found to pose a national security risk within one year of enactment. - Chinese nationals and PRC-linked entities: Would be barred from acquiring public or private real estate in the United States, stopping new purchases by those covered parties. - Current owners tied to the PRC: If the President determines an ownership stake poses a national security risk, affected owners would have to sell within one year. - Refugees and personal-use owners: The ban would not apply to PRC citizens admitted as refugees or asylees, and sales of property owned for personal use by U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents are exempt. - Agricultural land reporting: Changes the Agricultural Foreign Investment Disclosure Act language to "be less than 10 percent, or exceed 25 percent," altering the ownership thresholds that trigger disclosures and penalties under AFIDA.
