## Summary

**Links SNAP recipients to federal workforce training and funds outreach and a public ‘work versus benefits’ calculator.** This bill would let states recruit eligible SNAP households into Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act employment and training programs and publish a calculator to help participants compare benefits and potential wages. - Families and SNAP participants: Creates a new "covered individual" category for people in SNAP households who are unemployed or underemployed, not receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), and not already in a State Employment First program. Eligible people could be recruited into WIOA employment and training services and use a calculator to see whether work would raise or lower household income. - State agencies: Would be allowed to use SNAP administrative funds to recruit participants and run the described employment and training activities. Developing and hosting the employment calculator on the agency website would count as an administrative cost. - Workforce programs and local providers: Could receive referrals from SNAP agencies to enroll more participants into subtitle B of title I WIOA services.
