## Provisions PRIA read

- ATF gun trace data usable in court: benefit, medium. If enacted, this bill would make the ATF Firearms Trace System database records not immune from legal process. The records could be subpoenaed, used in discovery, and admitted as evidence in state and federal civil and administrative proceedings. This change would take effect upon enactment.
- Allow lawsuits against gun industry: mixed, medium. If enacted, this bill would repeal Sections 2, 3, and 4 of the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act. That repeal would let victims sue gun makers, importers, dealers, and distributors again. It would take effect upon enactment and could raise legal costs for the gun industry.
