## Summary

**Ban discrimination based on gender identity in the Armed Forces.** This bill would bar military officials from taking actions against someone for their gender identity, including actual or potential diagnoses of gender dysphoria. - Service members and recruits would be protected from being denied accession, reenlistment, continuation, or being involuntarily separated because of their gender identity. - Health coverage would be protected by prohibiting denial of medically necessary care to a member on the basis of gender identity. - Policy scope would cover six defined areas, including qualifications for service, involuntary separation, accessions and reenlistment, assignment to the sex assigned at birth, medical coverage, and other discrimination.
