## Summary

**Sell six underused federal buildings in Washington, D.C.** This bill would require agencies to vacate those buildings on a set timeline, ban sales to foreign owners, and route net proceeds first to the Federal Buildings Fund and then to the Treasury general fund. - Agencies and staff: Agencies located in the named buildings would have to move within 18 months and the buildings must be sold within 2 years. Agencies could not acquire other properties as part of the consolidation. - Buyers and ownership: Sales must be at fair market value and cannot be made to foreign persons or foreign-owned entities as defined in the bill. - Proceeds and spending rules: Net proceeds would first cover implementation costs deposited into the Federal Buildings Fund. Any remaining amounts would be deposited into the Treasury general fund to reduce the federal deficit, and amounts in the Fund could be spent only after a future specific appropriation. *Would channel sale proceeds to the Treasury and therefore would reduce the federal deficit to the extent of the proceeds.*
