## Summary

**Protects personal application data for people seeking Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals and limits most law enforcement access.** - Families and DACA applicants: Would block the Department of Homeland Security from sharing personally identifiable information submitted as part of a DACA request with ICE, CBP, or state, local, or Tribal law enforcement for reasons other than running the DACA program. It covers information submitted after June 15, 2012. - People whose cases are deferred: Would prohibit the Secretary from referring someone deferred under DACA to ICE, CBP, the Department of Justice, or other law enforcement agencies. - Law enforcement and national security: Would allow DHS to share application data only in narrow situations to detect or prevent fraud, for particularized national security reasons, or to investigate or prosecute a felony not related to immigration status.
