## Summary

**Resilient advanced nuclear power for Army installations.** This bill would create an Army-focused pilot to deploy fixed-site advanced nuclear micro-reactors or small modular reactors to supply resilient energy for identified critical Army facilities. - Army installations and missions: Selected Army bases would host fixed facility advanced reactors with up to 300 megawatts of output, aiming to deliver resilient power to designated critical infrastructure by December 31, 2030, with construction authority ending December 31, 2035. - Other military departments: The pilot could expand to other services if the Secretary of Defense approves, letting additional military installations participate in providing resilient energy with micro-reactors or SMRs. - Contractors, regulators, and grids: The Army could consider contractor ownership and operation, seek commercial Nuclear Regulatory Commission licensing with priority review, and where feasible connect reactors to the commercial grid to sell excess power. - Contracts and strategic capital: Military departments could enter energy contracts for up to 50 years for advanced reactor facilities, and the Office of Strategic Capital would add nuclear energy and nuclear technologies to its covered technology categories.
