## Summary

**Would transfer roughly 4,660 acres of subsurface mineral rights to the Crow Tribe and swap federal and private mineral and surface parcels near the Bull Mountains.** It would tie those exchanges to a written revenue‑sharing formula between the Tribe and the private trust and allow the Tribe to request that conveyed minerals be held in federal trust. - The Crow Tribe would receive about 4,660 acres of subsurface mineral interests inside the Crow Reservation and could have those minerals held in trust by the United States. Those conveyed minerals would be exempt from state and local taxation. - The Joe and Barbara Hope Mineral Trust would receive roughly 4,530 acres of U.S. subsurface mineral interests in Musselshell County, subject to valid existing rights. The transfer is conditioned on a prior written revenue‑sharing formula between the Trust and the Tribe. - If the lessee relinquishes the Bull Mountains coal lease, the Secretary would complete the swaps in a single transaction within 60 days. The bill also requires Musselshell Resources LLC to convey about 959 acres of surface interests to the United States and withdraws the affected tracts from public land and mining laws while transfers are pending.
