## Summary

**Allows taxpayers to choose direct deposit for replacement federal tax refund checks instead of getting another paper check.** - Taxpayers who would otherwise receive a replacement paper refund check after an original check was lost or stolen could elect to receive the replacement by direct deposit. - The bill would add a new subsection to the Internal Revenue Code and require the Department of the Treasury to issue procedures and regulations within six months after enactment to enable that election.
