## Summary

**Allows a one-year deferral of National Health Service Corps obligated service for participants who seek palliative care training.** The bill would add a new subsection to section 331 of the Public Health Service Act giving the Secretary authority to grant up to a one-year postponement for individuals under the National Health Service Corps Scholarship Program or the National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment Program who apply to receive palliative care training.
