## Summary

**Expands fertility and reproductive care for active-duty service members, veterans, and their partners.** It would require the Department of Defense to cover fertility preservation and treatments for active-duty members and their spouses or partners, and authorize the Department of Veterans Affairs to provide fertility treatment, counseling, and adoption assistance to enrolled veterans. - Active-duty members and military families would get DoD-funded fertility treatment and counseling without discrimination by sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, infertility diagnosis, or marital status. IVF access would include up to three completed oocyte retrievals and unlimited embryo transfers, plus cryopreservation before deployment with free storage for up to one year after separation. - Veterans and their spouses or partners would gain a new VA benefit for fertility treatment and counseling, with VA allowed to pay for donated reproductive material and related travel or incidental costs when a veteran cannot provide material. The bill also creates VA adoption assistance capped at the cost of up to three adoptions and allows applicable copayments. - DoD and VA would be required to coordinate care, share best practices, help transitioning members navigate services and ensure continuity of preservation and treatment. The bill would also support joint research to improve long-term reproductive health care and share findings within the VA.
