## Summary

**Standardized emergency communication guidance** for law enforcement-related events in Federal Protective Service protected buildings. It sets what notifications tenants must get and who must run those notifications. - Federal tenants will get timely alerts and safety instructions about violent threats inside a building or within about 150 feet. The guidance covers firearm incidents, other weapons threats, suspected or confirmed terrorism, and suspicious devices. - Designated officials on each building's Facility Security Committee must implement the guidance and confirm every department or agency with space in an FPS-protected building has a designated official consistent with Interagency Security Committee guidelines. - The Federal Protective Service must develop and implement the guidance within one year and coordinate with the Secretary of Homeland Security. FPS must also assess tenants' capacity to respond and conduct periodic testing. - FPS must send Congress a concise report no longer than 10 pages within one year, then brief lawmakers and present information on support needed to maintain building safety. *This Act does not authorize additional funds to carry out its provisions.*
