## Summary

**Modernize and coordinate the Broadband Funding Map** so federal broadband dollars can be targeted better and avoid overlapping or fragmented grants. - The Federal Communications Commission (FCC), working with the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), must collect agency-submitted data for the Deployment Locations Map and start a notice of inquiry on map functionality and transparency within 270 days. The inquiry must be completed within 120 days after it begins. - The Comptroller General must study federal agencies' roles and progress on supplying programmatic data to the Map and deliver a report to the designated congressional committees within 180 days. The study will identify best practices, data gaps, and challenges across agencies including USDA, HHS, Treasury, HUD, and the Institute of Museum and Library Services. - The reviews will consider changing data categories, incorporating third-party mapping data, and better linking the Map with FCC tools to improve public usability and help agencies avoid funding overlap and inefficiency.
