## Summary

**Renames the Department of Defense as the Department of War.** It would also redesignate the Secretary of Defense as the Secretary of War and direct that any existing law, rule, regulation, certificate, directive, instruction, or official paper that refers to the Department of Defense or the Secretary of Defense be read as referring to the Department of War and the Secretary of War.
