## Summary

**Would create a federally led Program and a D.C. Safe and Beautiful Commission to clean, restore, and coordinate public-safety efforts across Washington, D.C.** The measure pairs monument and streetscape cleanup with stronger federal law-enforcement coordination and private-sector involvement to keep commonly visited sites well maintained. - Residents and visitors would see coordinated cleanup, graffiti removal, and restoration of damaged federal monuments and public spaces, with private-sector participation encouraged to help maintain high-traffic areas. - Public-safety officials would get a federal structure to push maximum enforcement of federal immigration law in D.C., request federal personnel and resources to bolster policing, and target crime and fare evasion at sites such as the National Mall, Union Station, and the Washington Metro. - Federal agencies would be required to designate Commission representatives and the President would pick a Chair within 45 days, and both the Program and the Commission would terminate on January 2, 2029.
