## Summary

**A public Department of Agriculture report on the U.S. fertilizer industry would be required to clarify market drivers, prices, imports, supply chains, concentration, and emerging fertilizer technologies.** The Secretary of Agriculture, in consultation with the Economic Research Service Administrator, would publish a comprehensive report on the Department's website within one year after enactment. The report must cover ten specified areas including 25-year market size and price trends; import types, sources, and quantities by importer; a supply-chain overview and disruptions; industry concentration and anticompetitive effects; emerging fertilizer technologies and crop impacts; regulatory burdens; transparency of public price reporting with a recommendation on a regular reporting mechanism; and projected market growth and risks. The report must exclude confidential business information.
