## Summary

**This bill would make daylight saving time permanent across the United States.** It would also let states or parts of states that had previously exempted themselves pick the standard time that applies to those areas. - Rewrites federal time law by repealing Section 3 of the Uniform Time Act and by altering hour-based language in the 1918 Calder Act to establish a new, permanent standard time framework. - For any State or area that had opted out of seasonal daylight saving time, the bill lets the State choose the standard time for that area or keep the prior standard time as it was the day before enactment. - The bill does not include new funding, budgetary, or sunset provisions within the section that sets permanent time.
