## Summary

**This bill would ensure continued pay for members of the Armed Forces and the civilian employees and contractors who support them during any FY2026 funding lapse.** It creates a temporary appropriation that covers pay and allowances for active service members, Department of Defense civilians and Department of Homeland Security civilians in the Coast Guard who are assigned to support them, and contractors the relevant Secretary identifies as providing support. Funds come from any Treasury money not already appropriated. Authority ends when an appropriation for those purposes is enacted or on January 1, 2027.
