## Summary

**Expands federal criminal liability for child sexual abuse imagery.** This bill would broaden what counts as producing child pornography and strengthen detention, registration, discovery, and supervision rules for obscene visual depictions of child sexual abuse. - Victims and families: Images covered by section 1466A would remain in government or court custody during criminal proceedings, and identified minors could access them under existing victim-access rules. - Defendants: The definition of "knowingly produces" in 18 U.S.C. 2252A would be rewritten to include three commerce-related paths: knowing the material will be mailed or transported, using materials that moved in interstate commerce, or the material itself being transported in interstate commerce. - Courts and prosecutors: The bill would eliminate the statute of limitations for obscene visual depictions under 1466A, add those offenses to the federal sex-offender registry and supervised-release rules, and create a presumption of detention pending trial for 1466A and several related child-sex offenses.
