## Summary

**Blocks U.S. Treasury dealings in IMF Special Drawing Rights held by the Chinese Communist Party.** The bill would also require Treasury to push other IMF members to prohibit trades in those SDRs and direct the U.S. Executive Director at the IMF to oppose any SDR allocations to the CCP. - Treasury and U.S. finance officials would be forbidden from engaging in any transaction that exchanges SDRs held by the Chinese Communist Party and would be asked to lobby other IMF members to do the same. - The U.S. Executive Director at the International Monetary Fund would be instructed to use the United States' voice and vote to oppose any allocation of SDRs to the CCP. - The President could waive the prohibition for national security reasons by notifying Congress with a justification, and the policy would end after 5 years or sooner if the President reports termination is in the national interest.
