## Summary

**This bill would create a mandatory annual federal report on gang activity.** It would require the Attorney General, the Secretary of Homeland Security, and the FBI Director to jointly deliver detailed assessments to the House and Senate Judiciary Committees. - Federal agencies would have to coordinate and submit the first report within 150 days, and then at the end of each fiscal year. - Reports must assess 10 fiscal years of gang growth and trends, describe tools and criminal enterprises gangs use, and summarize agency initiatives over the prior 5 fiscal years. - Congress would receive standardized data on arrests, juvenile gang arrests, and firearms seized to inform oversight and policy. - Agencies must explain their data collection procedures and recent changes, and they must describe how state reporting practices affect federal data accuracy. - The report, or parts of it, may be classified if the agencies decide that is appropriate, which could limit public access.
