## Summary

**Creates a HUD competitive grant program to fund the design, construction, renovation, or conversion of housing that co-locates child care on or near the same premises.** The bill also requires HUD to report annually on program outcomes and asks the Government Accountability Office to study childcare availability and affordability for public housing residents. - Families: Low-income, rural, and "child care desert" communities are prioritized, which could expand nearby child care options and preserve slots for children from low-income families. - Child care providers and housing operators: Eligible providers and housing entities can use grants for planning, construction, long-term leasing, conversion, or preservation; individual grants may be up to $10,000,000 and up to 10 percent of funds may support pre-development or CDFI-led technical assistance. - Community development financial institutions and tribal housing: CDFIs can receive grants to capitalize loan products, and tribes, public housing agencies, and nonprofit developers are eligible recipients and partners. *Authorizes $100.0 million per year for fiscal years 2026–2031 to carry out the program, which would increase federal outlays if appropriated.*
