## Summary

**Would give most Department of Veterans Affairs employees the right to a representative of their choice during examinations they believe may lead to disciplinary action.** It would allow representation on duty time if applicable when the employee requests it. The measure defines who is a "covered employee" and excludes senior executives, certain statutory appointees, and political appointees. It would insert a new Section 708 into title 38 and update the chapter table to reflect that change.
