## Summary

**Securing advanced artificial intelligence and its supply chain from nation-state theft and sabotage.** This bill would direct the National Security Agency's Artificial Intelligence Security Center to develop and share security guidance that identifies AI-specific vulnerabilities and defenses. The guidance must identify risky supply chain elements and provide practical strategies to protect model weights, reduce insider threats, control network access, and recover from attacks. It must be issued in unclassified form with an optional classified annex and may include classified materials for security briefings. - AI developers and researchers would be consulted through document reviews, interviews, panels, and facility visits and would receive unclassified best practices to harden models and training environments. - Companies that operate or host AI systems and service providers would get detailed mitigation steps, including personnel vetting, network access controls, counterintelligence measures, and procedures to protect model artifacts. - Federal laboratories, university-affiliated research centers, and federally funded research and development centers would be asked to collaborate and share expertise to shape the guidance. - The NSA would deliver an initial report on guidance development within 180 days and a final report with a publicly available unclassified version within 365 days to the congressional intelligence committees.
