## Summary

**Reauthorizes and adjusts Secure Rural Schools funding through 2025.** It preserves how counties allocate payments and speeds payment timing to prevent gaps in funding for rural schools and community programs. - Counties and school districts: Keeps each county's 2023 allocation election in effect for fiscal years 2024 and 2025 and clarifies the general election rule does not apply for those two years. This preserves how local dollars are split between schools and other county needs. - Payments and Treasury timing: Implements a special rule that can reduce 2024–2025 payments if a county already received or will receive earlier 25 percent or 50 percent shares. Requires the Treasury to make those fiscal year payments within 45 days. - Projects and local authorities: Extends the special-projects authority on Federal land through 2026–2029, extends county fund expenditure authority through 2028–2029, and continues the Resource Advisory Committee pilot to 2026 while fixing technical wording in the statute.
