## Summary

**Expands deportability for fraud-related crimes.** This bill would broaden which fraud convictions make a noncitizen removable, add mandatory detention for those cases, and let courts revoke naturalization after certain fraud convictions. - Immigrants convicted of fraud: Any alien convicted of a crime involving fraud against a private person, fund, corporation, or government entity would be deportable even if the fraud falls below prior aggravated felony dollar thresholds. - Naturalized citizens convicted of fraud: Federal courts would be authorized to revoke citizenship and cancel naturalization certificates after convictions for offenses described in the fraud deportation provision. That denaturalization authority can apply to fraudulent conduct committed on or after September 30, 1996 when the person was not arrested, charged, or indicted before enactment. - Detention and courts: Mandatory detention eligibility would expand to include the new fraud-based deportation category. The bill also explicitly gives courts jurisdiction to carry out the denaturalization actions tied to those fraud convictions.
