## Summary

**Greater transparency on pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) contracts with Medicare drug plans.** This bill would require the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission to analyze PBM agreements for Medicare prescription drug plans and Medicare Advantage prescription drug plans and report trends, impacts on costs, and recommendations. - Medicare enrollees would get clearer analysis of how PBM agreements affect out-of-pocket prescription spending. - Pharmacies would see aggregated reporting on average pharmacy reimbursement that highlights payment patterns across plans. - Prescription drug plans and Medicare Advantage prescription drug plans would have their PBM contracts described and compared to show differences in deal terms and effects. - Policymakers would receive an initial report after the Secretary makes data available and a final report two years after the initial submission, each including trends, comparisons, and any recommendations.
