## Summary

**Drug labels would have to list the original manufacturer and key supply‑chain details.** It would cover active pharmaceutical ingredients and finished, packaged drugs and allow multiple original API makers to be listed on the label or via a public electronic portal. - Original manufacturers of APIs must appear by name and place of business on API labels and certificates of analysis. Finished drug labels must show the original API manufacturer(s), the original finished-product manufacturer, and any packer or distributor. - Noncompliance would be treated as misbranding and could trigger civil penalties up to 25% of the total value of the drug lot or lots involved. When setting penalties the Secretary must consider business size, the gravity of the violation, whether the violator had notice and an opportunity to correct, and any good-faith corrective actions. - The bill would direct FDA and U.S. Customs and Border Protection to coordinate on information sharing and possible joint rulemaking to reduce overlap with the Tariff Act. Confidentiality protections for trade secrets remain. The requirements would take effect five years after enactment and apply to products manufactured or packaged on or after that date.
