**Grants tribal law enforcement parity with States and local agencies for firearms access and federal tax exemptions.** - Tribal law enforcement and tribal agencies: Indian Tribes, as defined in section 4 of the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act (25 U.S.C. 5304), would be eligible to receive and possess post-1986 machineguns under the same rules and exemptions that apply to States and their departments. - Tax and transport rules: The bill would add Indian Tribes and their departments to federal exemptions for transfer and making taxes in the Internal Revenue Code and to rules governing the transportation, receipt, possession, and importation of firearms and ammunition alongside States.
