## Summary

**Ends enforced secrecy for sexual abuse of minors.** This bill would bar enforcement of nondisclosure or confidentiality clauses that prevent victims or others from disclosing sexual abuse of anyone under 18. - Survivors and families: People who were sexually abused as minors could disclose the abuse to law enforcement, child-protection officials, Members of Congress, or courts without being blocked by a contract clause. The protection would cover nondisclosure clauses in agreements made before, on, or after the bill's enactment and would forbid enforcement actions to uphold such clauses. - Organizations and alleged perpetrators: Employers, institutions, and private parties could no longer use secrecy clauses to silence allegations or hide patterns of abuse. The bill preserves limited confidentiality for settlement details like payment amounts only when those restrictions do not stop disclosure about the abuse. - States and courts: Federal law would override state laws that allow enforcement of prohibited clauses, while still allowing States to pass laws that give victims greater protection.
