## Summary

**One-year ban for government attorneys hit with Rule 11 sanctions.** This bill would bar any attorney for the Government who has been sanctioned by a court under the Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 11 from representing the Government in any court proceeding or in court filings for one year. The Department of Justice's Office of Professional Responsibility would write and carry out the rules to implement and enforce that temporary disqualification. The disqualification is triggered by a court-imposed Rule 11 sanction.
