## Summary

**Would create a new federal civil remedy allowing people to sue the United States for constitutional or federal-law rights violations during immigration-related enforcement.** - People subjected to immigration-related enforcement actions: could sue the United States for monetary and equitable relief. If the United States is found liable, claimants would receive $2.0 million in punitive damages. - Federal agencies that employ or direct the officers: would be required to pay monetary damages awarded for rights deprivations caused by their officers or subordinates.
