## Summary

**Workforce Data Quality Initiative** would create a competitive WIOA grant program to help States build and link statewide longitudinal data systems that join education, workforce, and labor market data. It aims to improve performance reporting, standardize skills and credential data, protect privacy, and give workers, employers, and policymakers better real-time information about in-demand skills and employment outcomes. - State agencies and multistate consortia: Eligible entities could apply for grants to design, implement, or expand statewide longitudinal data systems. The Secretary must set aside between **5% and 10%** of the funds under section 132(a)(2)(A) for this program year and grants may last up to **3 years**. - Workers and learners: The grants would support interoperable learning and employment records and tools that make verified credentials and emerging-skill data easier to find and share with employers and education providers. - Employers, workforce boards, and policymakers: Grants would improve labor market information, expand data standardization, support performance reporting on employment and earnings, encourage public–private partnerships, and back the use of real-time data including AI/ML tools for forecasting demand.
